One of my goals for this year is to take a photography class. The UABC's art school offers a really good class that Evaristo took two years ago and that I have been wanting to take ever since. In the class, students work with black and white film and develop their own pictures. I've been dabbling in Photoshop (CS3) for a little while now and I am a long ways from being any good at it. What gets me by are the actions, even though it feels a bit like I'm cheating. However, I have found that combining actions to produce a final image is really satisfying. I took this picture of Rio this afternoon as he played with a new chew toy that my Mom sent him from Canada (Thanks, Mom!). He loved it. I like the picture; in particular, how soft and how cozy-looking the final image is.
